Top 10 'most popular' car and pickup models in 2020

2020 is a tough year, and sales of pickup trucks and SUVs are both down broadly. However, there are some bright spots here that despite declining sales, many models of the same type are still more popular than ever.

According to information from Car rental Da Nang Service's Dai Gia Dinh, we have just consulted from the Law on Online newspaper, besides traditional cars, there is also a 'fun contribution' of a new model number. Accordingly, the statistics of top 10 'safe' pickup trucks in 2020 include the following names:

1. Ford F series (787,422 units sold)

The Ford F series has once again become the most popular car in the United States. Compared to 2019, sales in 2020 decreased by 12%, but Ford still maintained the leading position. According to Blue Oval, its truck production line has been named the best-selling pickup truck in the United States for 44 consecutive years.

2. Chevrolet Silverado (586,675 cars)

Sales of Chevrolet's Silverados cars in 2020 have surpassed 2019. As of the end of the year, light trucks are down only 0.5%, while heavy trucks are up 14%.

3. Ram Pickup (563,676 units sold)

Pickup trucks are one of the few models to increase sales in the first quarter, but the following quarters are not as strong as the large Ram. By 2020, Ram's sales will be down 11% from 2019. Ram returns to third best seller by 2020.

4. Toyota RAV4 (430,387 units sold)

Toyota RAV4 is a direct competitor of Honda CR-V. Compared to 2019, the sales of RAV4 in 2020 have decreased by 4%. However, it remains the best-selling pickup truck in the United States, with high margins.

5. Honda CR-V (sold 333,502 units)

The CR-V 2020 upgrade comes with a number of changes to the hybrid powertrain's styling and options, and when it placed it in the top 5 best-selling cars in the United States, buyers received a positive response. Compared to 2019, CR-V sales in 2020 have decreased by 13%.

6. Toyota Camry (294,348 units sold)

With an upgrade in 2021, the car will be upgraded in terms of design and technology, and occupy a higher position in the list of best-selling cars next year. Although sales are down 13% in 2020, the decline is smaller than that of longtime rival Honda Accord.

7. Chevrolet Equinox (270,994 cars)

Chevrolet had to postpone the launch of the upgraded Equinox by 2021, but buyers didn't seem interested. Customers still respond positively and push this model to the top selling car in the market. In 2020, Equinox's sales are down 22%.

8. Honda Civic (261,225 units sold)

As of 2020, Civic is down 20%, less than rival Toyota Corolla down 22%.

9. GMC Sierra (25,016 units sold)

Sierra Leone had a fairly stable year, even more so than her friend Chevy Silverado. This is one of the few bright spots in the industry, with sales up 9% from 2019.
