Japan launches the all-new Subaru EJ20 Final Edition luxury car

According to the updated news, the new generation Subaru WRX STI EJ20 Final Edition has just been launched in Japan on the occasion of the discontinuation of the Boxer EJ20 Subaru engine after more than 30 years of sticking. The Subaru EJ20 was first introduced in 1989 during the Subaru Legacy event.

The company has revealed this particular model will be available in limited quantities. In addition to the EJ20 engine, the car also features 19-inch BBS wheels and "EJ20 Final Edition" logo. Subaru said that the company will display this version at the Tokyo 2019 auto show which will take place from October 23 to here.

“WRX STI models with EJ20 engines are currently only sold in Japan,” Subaru said. STI models sold abroad have other types of engines and the production of those engines will continue. This means that the Subaru WRX STI EJ20 Final Edition is unlikely to appear outside of Japan. Besides, the new STI will not be released in the near future as the WRX and STI are still based on the old generation platform.
